Modular Noise Creater Using PVC Pipe

In festival time in our town lot of teens roaming around with huge noise making toys. I check the principal of it working. I want to check with various materials for diaphragm and pipes length and joints. When look around lot of cut PVC pipes around me. So i try it with it.

Basic requirement

1) 1" PVC pipe Tee - 1 Nos

2) 3/4" pvc pipe - 1/2 feet

3) PVC joining solution.

4) Rubber balloon

For Modular use

1) PVC pipes, L bends, Tees.

2) For diaphragm Polythene bag, Paper, Foil.....

Air blow inside 1” pipe make Diaphragm Expand and Air pass through¾” Pipe as Loud noise. As per Diaphragm friction with 3/4" pipe sound varies also as per material also sound vaires try different material and different length. Additionally when connect different shape pipes and cones in the output also make sound difference. Let us try some.

As Per plan 1" tee is taken and 3/4" pipe taken. Take small pieces of 3/4" pipe and cut it. Paste it over the pipe up to make it 1", so that it hold tightly with the tee. Use PVC solution to fix it.

Now inset the 3/4" pipe into the one side of the 1" tee and extend it up to the next side 1 or 2mm to the other side of the tee. The center of the 3/4" pipe already pasted with pvc pipe pieces hold tightly in the tee. The distance is adjustable to vary the sound.

First try with the balloon. Put the balloon on the other side of the tee there the 3/4" pips connected. Check the 3/4" pipe impression is seen on the balloon. Now the noise maker is ready blow it to make noise by adjust the 3/4" pipe sound varies. Lets try.

Change the diaphragm with different materials and blow it.

Join more tees, bends, cones in the out put pipe and blow it.

It's more fun for small kids to blow this.
