I needed a cork board for my room so I decided to make one out of wine corks. This is a pretty simple project to make with minimal tools required. A saw, and glue gun are the main things you will need along with the wine corks. The wine corks were kind of expensive, You can ask your local bars if they save them or if you have a friend that works at at bar could them. I glued them onto hardwood 1/4 inch width.

these work great

I cut the length of the hardwood at 13 inches by 20 inches.

I used a jig saw to cut the wood.

Use a square and straight edge to mark your cut.

sand the edges of the hard wood after cutting.

I hammered in wall hooks on the back to be able to hang it up.

Adding the wine corks is pretty straight forward. I set up the the wine corks on a piece of cardboard before I started gluing them. Some corks are different length so i lined them up so that they were lined up the best i could. Some corks didn't have a design on them so I put those to the side. The wine corks were actually kind of expensive so I would try and find some cheap. 15 corks wide by 11 tall. Use your glue gun and start gluing down the corks. Make sure you glue corks done carefully the glue drys quick. You could use other glue if you don't have a glue gun. Let it dry and sand anything that needs it.
