Using the Search Menu
Intro.
The search menu provides the means for finding any files, folders, documents, or photographs that are stored on your computer . If you have an internet connection, you can also use it to find information stored on a website

SERCHING FOR PICTRES
1.Click once on the start button and select search by clicking on it. The search companion appears.
2.The search companion offers several search options. Click on the pictures, music, or video option at the top of the left hand Column.
3.The search criteria dialog box appears, allowing you to focus on your search still further. To locate all images stored on you computers hard disk, check the box next to pictures and photos by clicking on it, and leave the all or part of the file name text box empty.
4.Click on search, and all the pictures and photos on your computer will be listed in the search results that appear in the right hand panel.

You can also search for a specific document. Click start button and chose search.
2.Click the documents ( word processing spreadsheet ect. ) option
3.In the criteria dialog box, click the all or part of document name panel and enter as much of the name as you know. We are looking for a missing letter that was created in the last week, so we check the within the last week radio button and click on search to see the results

Searching the Internet
1.To search the internet, chose the search the internet option in the search companion.
2.In the screen that appears, type in youre search word or words and click the search button. If you are connected to the internet, your connection opens and the results, which are links to the website, are displayed below the search button.
3.Clicking on any of these links will display that particular web page in the right-hand window.
