The Solder Sponge

when soldering there can be excess soldier on your gun from many things. The best way to remove it without turning the gun off is to wipe it on a wet sponge also if you accidentally burn your finger you can quickly get relief by putting it on the sponge and the sponge helps your iron cool down faster i suggest if you can't  afford a soldiering station with one then have a bowl with one in it.
