Ok next step is to drill a 13/32 inch hole in to the shell for the printer driver shaft which rolls the drawers (this will be explain later wen we get to the printer ) pick up one side to be the front. Now drill the hole one side of the shell 6 ½ inches to center by 2 3/8 inches from the bottom., Repeat the same on the other side.

remember that these need to be as straight as you can so that the shaft rolls straight.

Ok here is the victim a epson c86 printer
Before webagain dismantling the printer remember that this will void ALL warranty with the printer!!! So if you cannot afford to lose a printer, don’t try this project.

First thing is to test the printer make sure the printer works like normal install the ink and print a test page.

NOW LET’S START TEARING THIS THINGS APART!! : )

Remove all the plastic tops from the printer (a small flat head screwdriver will be needed)
Start with the bottom tabs, then the back tabs, do both sides
The bottom tabs which actually release the top,

DO NOT REMOVE THE TIMING BELT

take the driver belt off and the screw in between the gears,

now cut out the frame...
