Single Stage Coil Gun With Revolver

This single stage coil gun was made from things I just had lying around my house.

Step 1

First you gather the materials box pipe, hot glue gun, 2 15 inch by 6 inch pieces of oak wood, rosin core solder, soldering iron, duct tape, lots of wire, 7 capacitors, a button, a risistor, an LED,  a 9 volt battery connecter, scissors or wire cutter, and a wood saw


Step 2

Make the following: a pipe with wire wrapped around it, 6 pieces of pipe wrapped around another pipe, and your wood stock with a large section chized out

Attach the coil to the revolver with hot glue and put the wires through the center of the revolver

Step 4

Solder the capacitors in a series

Solder the 9 volt connector to the capacitor series.

Step 6

Now solder the LED and the risistor to the circuit and fit it in the stock.

Solder the wires from the revolver to the stock wires and add the button.

Finally you secure everything with hot glue and add some extra pipe on the top. When done you clip in your led and your ready to shoot. I've found That paper clips work the best, the first shot I took with mine resulted in a paper being shot across the room, but it's not all fun and games this is an actual gun and is extremely dangerous plus the high voltage can give a lethal shock so I advise extreme caution.
