Repair Leak on a Budget
a simple way for you to repair a leak when you can't afford a plumber
Get an Old Bike Tire
I have a bunch of bikes at my house. I seem to always pick them up for parts. they are good for all sorts of repair projects not to mention me and my kids are about to build a tree fort.
first off let's get the tire off. keep wheel on the bike it will make this easier. I used snips to cut tire off and got the inner tube out. Cut the tube into strip based on you leak

Turn Off Water
really you don't need a pic or step. just go turn water off. Don't want that in your way when you do it
Finishing Up
wrap the pipe in the strip of inner tube you have made. 3 or 4 times around should be good. put a pipe clamp around it and tighten. this can last for years just tighten a little more ever once and awhile.
As you can see in the 2nd pic I tried different things. the black is rubber coating lol. This is very effective and saves money not getting a plumber. A 5 year old could do it. Make sure and save the rest of tubes. never know when you might need it.
