Remove the Grease From a Hood Filter

Using this cheap and simple method the filter can be cleaned to look lite a new one.

Materials

  • vim cream metal cleaner
  • baking soda
  • hot water

Cleaning

Put a half cup of baking soda into the hot water then add a teaspoon of the heavy duty cleaner. Put the hood filter in the water and let it soak for 5 minutes.

place the mesh from the filter on a hard surface then scrub it with a brush under hot water. Then wipe the grease off from the bars with a paper towel.

Put the filter back on, it now should look like new.
