Portable Gun Cleaning Kit

I'm back with another entry for the portable work station contest, and am still trying to get that 3d printer. So this idea came to me while I was sitting at home doing nothing ( where most ideas come from) and thinking of ideas for another entry and then it came to me, what is one problem that hunters and shooting sports men have? It's being able to clean their guns easily on the go, so I have developed a solution for that. You see I looked online for inspiration on what it should look like but all I found were tackle box sized ones, some were even bigger. Surprised by this I went to the drawing board Wright away. What I designed was an ultra compact tube shape that can be attached to the Side of the case or inside it, to make it more portable. The contents can be accessed by sliding the zip lock bag out of pvc tube and inside is a piece of cloth for a mat when you disassemble your gun(to prevent loss of parts),the cloth is wrapped around a tube of oil along with a brush and some tissues. The brush that I made is not for cleaning the gun, it's just ment for the picture because I'm too cheap to go and buy one, my suggestion is to buy a cheap gun cleaning brush and cut it to the size of the pvc. So I hope you guys enjoy and vote for me in the portable work station contest.

The first part will be about how to build an improvised brush, I do not recommend using this to clean the gun because the bristles are too thin and bend easily, also the dry glue could fall off and clog the barrel. What I recommend is that you go out and buy a professionally made one, you can usually find these in stores for a few buck. So to make this, you start by taking a piece of the steel wire twice the length of your pvc and fold I in half. then you take the two ends and cross them,do it again to create a twist. Then you go to the next step

In this step we will be finishing the brush. Start by taking your copper wire and wrapping it 5 times around your middle and pointer finger. After you do this you remove the wire and flatten the coil. Now take your steel wire and open open the twist up to reveal a small hole, take your flattened wire coil and put it in the hole. You can secure it using hot glue. To finish it off repeat the last two steps moving up the steel wire. When done flatten the copper wire.

Next take the straw and cut it slightly shorter than the pvc tube. Next melt one end and squeeze the edges together to seal it. Then take your 3 in 1 oil and fill it leaving one centimeter of straw unfilled. Melt the other end and pinch it closed with the pliers again.

Role up the tissues, brush, and oil in the cloth and put it in the bag be sure to squeeze out all the air from the bag then put it in the pvc tube now your done. Where or how you carry this is optional and I hope my idea will inspire you to make your own and improve my design and build your own. Thank you for taking time to look at my instructable, please vote for me in the portable work station contest.
