Step 1: Make Your Conductive and Non Conductive Play-dough

We used this websites recipe to make the conductive play-dough (Yellowish colored play-dough we used as the raft)

We found it is kind of sticky though. It is best to roll the dough in lots of flour until it doesn't stick to your hands anymore.

Next we used our teacher given recipe to make the non conductive play-dough. We found this one simple and very easy to work with. (The green to make mikes body)

We had some extra white that we used for his eye and mouth

Step 2: Start With the Body

We took a large amount of the non-conductive play-dough and used our hand to shape it into a large egg type figure

We then took a quarter size piece of the white play-dough and flattened it out and made it into Mikes eye.

Step 3: Add the Mouth and Eye Lid!

We again used the white play-dough and took a small piece and gave it the form of a crescent moon.

We then took another small piece of the green play-dough and rolled it into a worm like shape and placed it around the white eye and made this his 3d eye lid.

Step 4: He Needs Ears!

We took more of the green play-dough and cut them into tiny triangles and added them on to make ears.

Step5: Where Are His Arms?

We did the same technique as we did for the eyelid to make his arms except we left a larger portion at the bottom to form hands.

Step 6: His Chair/Raft

Now that mikes body was complete he needed a little extra so we made him a chair/raft type sitting thing

We took all our our conductive play-dough and flattened it out.

we the raised the back to hold his body up

Step 7: How to Light Him Up

We used two nails an led and a twist operated battery.

First we placed one prong of the led into the non-conductive and the other into the conductive play-dough.

we then placed one nail up against each prong.

After that we spun the red handle on the battery and the led came to life
