A world where things are made weak on purpose to ensure they break, fail, or become obsolete, forcing you to purchase more while also charging you twice as much... is simply insane. Who's got it like that? -- I love everything DIY for these reasons. Aside from being free to make things that are actually durable, there is no substitute for the sense of accomplishment you feel when a project comes together. For me, its wins all around.
