I am a queer, transgender, nonbinary, and mixed-race picture book writer/illustrator. As a young person, I didn’t have the words to explain the big feelings I had about my identity and relationships. It is so important for us to see ourselves reflected in media in real and nuanced ways, but there are still very few picture books featuring gender diverse characters. I create books for queer, nonbinary, and transgender young people of color celebrating our authenticity and belonging.
