I trained as an EE, spent a large part of my life as a mainframe operating system developer, ran a PC repair business, and now say I'm semi-retired. I'm good at DIY, having built a couple of houses along the way. I'm back to electronics as a hobby and messing with mechanical things like water softeners and mailboxes.
