Do you spend the most of your time sitting, and concerned about your health? We have a solution for you, the iChair!

The iChair is one of it´s kind, which monitor your sitting behavior and maintain a proper log of it, and keep you informed that you might need a walk.

Either you are working in transport industry or you are just a traveller and travling for long hours. iChair keeps you updated and active that you wont suffer any serious health injury or disease.

Step 1: Why Create This Idea?

Today most of the tasks are performed while sitting in front of computer, driving or travelling. All these activities is create challenging problem and threaten the health situation. In certain environment, iChair is the best idea.

Depending on the requirement of the project, we used different sensors, buttons, connected it to the intel Edison board and checkd it accordingly while using C++ as our main programming language.

Step 4: Connectivity (Cloud, Database...)

Cloud connectivity is important and needed to save the data collected from the iChair. The collected data can be processed and reviewed in later stages.

The first prototype is developed during the intel IoT Berlin 2015, with the provided sents of sensors and equipment. It is successful and worked accordingly as described, while providing the output as needed (informing the occupant to take a walk, chair is empty / available and you can sit)
