How to Make Your Own Weapon Part 1 Heavy Impaling Weapons
for this instructable all you need is a big chunk of wood some smaller pieces of wood a drill (or brace) and bits, and a knife. also this is a warning
THIS IS NOT A TOY. DO NOT PLAY WITH AROUND PEOPLE OR ANIMALS. I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE OR HARM YOU CAUSE WITH THIS WEAPON. I AM ONLY SHOWING YO HOW TO MAKE THIS FOR DISPLAY. EVEN IF YOU DON'T WANT IT FOR DISPLAY AND WANT IT FOR SWINGING AROUND. WEAR SAFTEY GLASSES AND PROTECTIVE PADDING TO AVOID AS MUCH INJURY AS POSSIBLE. THIS WARNING APPLIES TO ALL POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS INSTRUCTABLES I MAKE AND I WILL TELL THEM TO LOOK AT THIS WARNING BEFORE CONTINUING THAT ONE. AND I KNOW YOU DID NOT NEED TO KNOW ALL OF THAT BUT IF YOU HURT SOMEONE OR DAMAGE SOMETHING THIS WILL HOLD UP IN COURT.
ps i had help from my friend rastamonkey so check out some of his instructables too they are pretty cool

Finding the Handle/heavy Part.
you will need a large chunk of round wood ( if it is tapered it is easier to make the part you actually hold. this will hold the sharp spikes that give it the impaling part.
Making the Stakes
find a stick or dowel about a third the size of the heavy part of the handle in diameter and cut them int pieces about 8 inches to a foot long and sharpen at one end to a nice point
make about five or four
make about five or four
Drilling the Holes
take the drill or brace and find a bit that is about the same size as your stakes and drill the holes about half to two thirds of the diameter of the stake.
Attaching the Stakes
take the stakes and put them in the holes (thats what she said) and pour a little super glue into the crack (thats what she said) and let it dry for a couple minutes. once its dry take some more glue that is super thick (i used liquid nails) aand put it all around the base of the stake (between the crack and stake(thats what she said)) and let it dry overnight.
(optional) Smoothing the Handle
just take some sand paper thats like 300 and smooth out the part with no stakes keep upping the grain of sandpaper until 600 and make it super smooth. varnish if you want.
(optional) Name It
this even easier than the handle smoothing. think of a cool name and carve it onto the half with the stakes. paint in the carving if you want. varnish if you want.
