How to Make Sweet and Sour Pork

Sweet and Sour Pork is one of the traditional cuisine in China, and it is also a well-known cuisine in western countries as well. The dish consists of deep fried pork in bite sized pieces, and subsequently stir-fried in a more customized version of sweet and sour sauce made of sugar, ketchup, white vinegar, and soy sauce, and additional ingredients including pineapple, red pepper or green pepper. Prepare the Main Ingredients

200 g rib chop

1/2 red pepper

1/2 green pepper

3 pieces garlic slices

3 pieces Pineapple slices


Prepare the Sauce

For making the sauce, we need

1 tablespoon vinegar

1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce

2 and 1/2 tablespoons tomato sauce

2 tablespoons sugar

1/3 cup water

1/2 teaspoon cornflour

Prepare the Seasoning for the Rib Chop

In order to make the seasoning for the rib chop, we need

1 and 1/2 tablespoons light soy

1 tablespoon wine

1/2 teaspoon sugar

1/4 teaspoons salt

1 teaspoon cornflour 

1 egg

Directions: Step 1

Spare ribs with wipe dry and marinate with seasoning for 1/2 hour.

Roll spare ribs in cornflour and deep fly until slightly brown. Leave for approximately 1 minute. Fry again until golden brown.

Saute dried garlic with 2 tablespoons oil. Add sauce and bring to boil. Put in green pepper, red pepper, pineapple and spare ribs, Mix well and serve
