Guitar Wall Mount / Hanger -free, Quick and Dirty
As my guitar always seems to lay in the way, i decided to mount it on the wall.
thats what i came up with
it's free
it's easy
it's good looking ;)

Finding Wood
my neighbour cut down some small trees last year - as they're still laying around I looked there
first, and I found exactly what I was looking for.
TADAAA - a branch fork
don't cut it too short, the back of the fork should be about 8 inches long - you'll shorten it later.
Peeling Off the Bark
take your knife and peel the fork
i left some of the brown bark underneath the outer coat,
because I liked the look
allow the wood to dry - doesn't take that long without bark
Measuring Your Guitar
take a piece of paper or cardboard and measure the upper neck of your guitar.
cut it out.
Make It Fit
mark and cut out the fork as seen on the pictures.
use the paperstripas help.
then hold the fork up and hang the guitar in your fork,
angle it up until the guitar is safe and can't fall off.
now mark the angle on the fork and cut it out - see the pictures
smooth the cuts with the file and/ or sandingpaper

The "wall Angle"
place the guitar in the fork and hold it up.
place something straight
thats about as long as your guitar (a broomstick would work too...)
behind the guitar - it has to touch the back of the guitarcorpse - see the pictures and forget about my english... :P
when everything is aligned, mark the angle on the "wallside" of the fork
cut it with your saw, and try on the wall, if it's right.

Drill a Hole
now you'll need something to hold the whole thing up on the wall.
I used a wooden Popsicle-stick that was strong enough
other possibilities:
a strong screw
a strong nail
- go wild
my popsicle-stick works very well ;)
drill a hole in a 90degree angle and glue the -whatever you'll find- popsicle stick in it.

Style It Up and Add Silicone Protection
now you're basically done but if you want you can add
some fancy angles or carvings
To protect your precious instrument add a thin coat of silicone.
drill a hole in your wall and mount it.
