Step 1: Making the Mold

You will need a mold of the shape you want the bottle to look like. I've used woodturning to get the desired shape. Best is to make the shape a little conical so you will get it out more easily.

Step 2: Prepping the Mold

It is important to prep the mold so the silicone will come off without a problem. First I've given it 3 layers of clear coat and then 1 layer of a special spray to loosen the silicone when its dry.

Step 3: Casting the Silicone

The mold is screwed to a small wooden block so it won't fall over. Then the silicone is pour over in 3 layers. Wait about 15 min between each layer so the previous layer has time to harden a little. After an hour when the last layer is poured the silicone is dry and can be removed from the mold.

Step 4: Sewing the Rope to the Buckles

Use some backpack rope to attach the buckles to. Take the rope double and sew it together to give it more strength. Take the buckles and attach them to the rope then sew the rope ends together.

Step 5: Attatching the Buckles

To attach the rope with the buckles to the silicone use glue with cyanoacrylaat because the straps are nylon and . Then your done, enjoy!
