Elf Tutu

You will need Tulle in as many colors as you want.You will need up to 6 rolls for one full tutu.

You will need elastic,scissors, cardboard and ribbon.

Measure the waist of your model

cut elastic accordingly

measure the length you want your tutu

Cut cardboard accordingly to the length you want your tutu and width of your tulle

Wrap your tulle 48 full turns around the card board the length you want your tutu

(if your using 4 colors then you would only wrap each color 12 complete times)

Now the side you started wrapping your tulle cut down the side of tulle this will make sure there are no jagged edges

do this for each color.NOw you should have your strips

You can sew or tie the elastic together

slip the elastic over one of the cardboard to stretch it out but not fully stretched.

Take the a piece of each strip of tulle and slip it up through the elastic and tie a knot do this till you make it all around the elastic. Presto You Now have a tutu.

What i did was added a bottom half of a little mermaid costume cut it down the back added some ribbion for staps like an apron and sewed the ends on the tutu. But use your imagination who knows what you can come up with..
