Cheap Arduino Based Robotic Claw Prostetic Hand

This project came to mind after being informed Medicare wouldn't pay for a hand, only the hook. so i decided to try to make a robotic hand. The total partscost is well under $100.

Program the Arduino

Wiring

Wire the servo, arduino, and pot according to the wiring diagram
Soldering

Connect the pot and wires to the proto board, according to the diagram. When your sure everything is connected properly, begin to solder. I didnd't solder my servo connector yet, but know is the time if you plan on not taking it apart. I just used an old piece of board I recycled.
Mount the Servo

Mount the servo in the claw. This part can be a bit tricky. one bolt for mounting the servo is to long and needs trimmed, I used a dremel. If there are any problems I will post a video if there are any problems.
Final Hook Up

Now attach the Arduino and claw to your arm base. This part is up to you since EVERY PROSTHETIC IS DIFFERENT!
edit. I finally got a bracket made with some scrap metal and a few bolts and nuts. The metal came from an old vcr.
