I am guessing you allready know how to solder.

Important to know what the layout is for your plug.
The bottom is focus
2nd is shutter release
3 is ground.

i tested this on an eos 450 and 400D

ok lets start. Strip the cable. You know see 4 wires. I soldered the red and green together for shutter release and bulb mode. Yellow is focus and black is ground.
You can leave the focus button out if you want. The camera will focus every time you press the shutter button or flip the switch.

Prepping the Box.

mark where you want to drill the holes. 3 on top and 1 at the front side for the wire. Now i know it looks like the holes are a bit off....thats because they are. The drill slipped and f*cked up. But since i don't have any boxes left i just let it be.

Solder all your grounds together. use schrink tube to insulate them. Tin all the legs on your switches.

install your switches and pump a bit of hot glue in there to hold the wires down and this will also keep de cable from being pulled out. Plug it in and enjoy your cheap remote. Any question's , just ask.

here is a little clip of the remote.
