Zombie Wound #2
Hi how's it going?
I have done another zombie wound, this one has 3d effect.
It takes around 30-40 minutes to create this look depending on how you want it to look
Step 1: Equipment
In the photo above shows all the equipment I need to use to create this look
- Toilet paper
- blue, yellow, red, black and white paint
- hot water
- glue
- the cotton buds were used to put the glue on
If you saw my other zombie wound I have used the dried up piece from that to create the 3d effect
Step 2: Placing the Glue
Placing the glue is easy, just create shape and size of the wound and place the glue to create the shape.
It doesn't matter if you don't like how you placed the glue because when you add the toilet paper you can define the shape then and the glue will dry clear.
Step 3: Adding the Toilet Paper
Adding the toilet paper allows you to create the texture, look and depth. It is under your control
- Start by ripping toilet paper any size - Having no straight edges will give the ripple effect
- Don't be afraid to layer the toilet paper - This will help give the illusion of the wound being open
- Leave the middle empty as it will be painted to give the depth
Step 4: Paint
I use the primary colours
Blue, Yellow, Red, White and Black
The colours I create are:
- Dark green
- Orangey brown
- Dark red
- Dark purple with red
- Skin colour which matches your own tone
"Now the fun begins"
we want to create dark and light patches in the wound, if you paint the middle flesh bit black it will make it dark and looks deep, I add a bit of Green and dark purple to give the rotten flesh look.
The highest parts will be light, so red will give the illusion of fresh flesh being exposed.
I add water to my paint, so when it touches the toilet paper it soaks up.
Step 5: Final Touches
Create a skin tone that matches your own, paint around the wound and mix the paint using your finger to blend the paint and skin together.
Make a really runny red and flick it over the wound to create the splatter effect
And you are finished, I hope it turned out the way you wanted and send some pictures so I can see what you have created. :)
