Zombie Barf

This is my gross, but fudgy, version of "haystacks." I'm not squeamish in any way, but I've had friends unable to eat these because of the look/name. Which I think means these are a success.

Ingredients

Barf Base:

- 18 oz white chocolate

- 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk

- 1 tsp vanilla

- Gel food dye (green and maybe yellow)

- 2 - 3 c. chow mein noodles

- Chopped cookies (oreos are great, the red velvet ones I used were good - darker colored cookies work best)

- Foods that your zombie has previously eaten*

*Gummy body parts are GREAT. I found ears and eyeballs. Gummy worms. Cookie pieces. Candy Corn (cause hey, it's Halloween), etc.

- Waxed paper

Put your white chocolate and sweetened condensed milk into a microwave safe bowl. Microwave it in short intervals until completely melted - making sure to stir as you go.

Add your green dye to the chocolate mixture. My green was pretty dark, so I added roughly 2 parts of green dye and 1 part yellow dye.

Making It Chunky

Add the chow mein noodles to your fudge. Fold until well incorporated.

Transfer 1/3 of your mixture to a separate bowl. Add about 1/2 c. of your chopped cookies. Stir these in. They should make this part of the "barf" a darker, muddier color.

On waxed paper, add a spoonful of your lighter colored barf base, followed by any gummies, candies, or cookie pieces your zombie may have eaten - then add a spoonful of the darker base.

You can alternate between the base colors and zombie barf content. These piles should definitely not be perfectly round or neat.

Let your zombie barf harden completely. Move these to an airtight container. There's no need to refrigerate them, but store them in a cool location to avoid melting. These will stay good for at least 2 weeks.
