Applying the 4-lead ECG: To apply the 4-lead ECG, attach the lead wires to the patient. The white electrode is applied to the patient’s left upper chest, the green electrode to the patient’s left lower abdomen, the black electrode to the right upper chest, and the red electrode to the right lower abdomen. Make sure the lead wires are securely attached. Place the electrodes on the patient’s chest and attach the lead wires to the electrodes.

Obtaining a blood pressure: To obtain a blood pressure, attach the blood pressure cuff to the patient’s arm and then press the “Blood Pressure” button on the monitor. The blood pressure button is located in the bottom right-hand corner of the monitor. The monitor automatically takes the patient’s blood pressure and displays the results on the home screen.

Obtaining a pulse ox: To obtain a pulse ox, attach the pulse oximeter to the patient’s finger. The monitor will automatically take the patient’s pulse oximetry and display the results on the home screen.

Obtaining a heart rate: After attaching the 4-lead or pulse oximetry cable to the patient, the monitor will automatically take the patient’s heart rate and display the results on the home screen.

Troubleshooting: If the monitor is not working correctly, check all the connections and make sure the patient is properly connected to the monitor. Next, try to reset the monitor by pressing the green power button for a full two seconds and then turning it back on. If the problem persists, contact the manufacturer for assistance.

Shutting down the monitor: When you are finished using the monitor, press the green power button located on the top right to turn the monitor off. Remove the electrodes and lead wires from the patient and store the monitor safely.
