Zero Waste Furniture / Bookshelf to Cat House

This is a university project that produced by interior architecture students for their own school common areas. Also it is a type of before and after process. First, students designed the furniture as a bookshelf using cardboard tubes. They assembled the parts using a type of heavy-duty rope that you can hang books on these ropes. This bookself has been used for many years. But it is not used anymore. So I wanted to redesign it for campus animals that were left alone during the lock-down.
Disassembled the Furniture Parts

cleaned the damaged ropes and disassambled the parts.
3d Printed Joints

designed and painted new joints using 3d printer for assembling the parts.
Assemble the Parts

assebled the parts using new joints.
