Your Own Rain Gauge

Did you ever want to be like a meteorologist and measure rain? You can, and even in your home. This is a rain gauge, it measures rain. It can be made out of trash too.

Cut the bottle like the photo

Measuring Tape

Using a ruler, measure the tape and write down marks of centimeters or inches.

Almost Done...

Put the tape that is marked with measures on the side of the bottle, like the photograph.

If you have a backyard, dig grass up, and place the rain gauge firmly. If you have a balcony, tape a piece of cardboard to the rain gauge to make sure it doesn't fall.
