Yi De Self-Watering Pot

• We discussed the progress of growth of our broccoli and kang-kong seeds using the 5 steps design thinking process.
• We discovered most of us forgot to water the plant. 
• Final aim: To design a self-watering pot that can work with micro:bit and water-pump to improve the success rate of home farming using tinkercad and/or fusion360 software.

Recycled home farming

• Recycled used and clean water bottle
• Box cutter
• Waterproof tape
• Recycled used and clean plastic bag

3D designing and printing:

• Tinkercad account. Fusion360 educator account
• A computer with internet access

Create a home farming device using plastic bottle.

• I sketch using online whiteboard software an how my design should work.

• Take a cylinder measuring 120mm (length), 120mm (breadth), 55mm (height)

• Take a cylinder hole measuring 120mm (length), 110mm (breadth), 45mm (height)

• Use a caliper to measure the dimension of the water pump and tubing
• Design a cylinder hole of the matching size. Group all objects

• Take the design further in fusion360
