Reusable YAHTZEE Score Sheet
Introduction
This perennial game has seen few changes over its lifetime. The genius to its longevity is the excitement of receiving and yelling YAHTZEE when one is rolled. With the possibility of yelling again when someone else receives a Yahtzee. Other than that, each roll of the dice allows the player to choose what they will do, in the attempt to achieve the highest total score. There is still the lower probability of receiving a 2nd Yahtzee in the 12 more turns if you roll a Yahtzee in the first turn. Each game has 13 turns, one turn for each of the categories.
The Story
A few years ago I spent an extended visit with my parents in a retirement community. We played a lot of Yahtzee. After leaving I missed playing the game. But at that time money was tight and I didn’t want to buy replacement score cards, for that matter buy the game. I asked my parents for 1 score card and I made copies of it. I found some dice and put the game together. Although, I didn’t like to throw away the score card after 12 games, (copies on both sides) so I thought how could I reduce the use of paper. I came up with a washable (reusable) scoring sheet.
For you this instructable is how to make your own Washable Yahtzee, but for me it was a reboot, a chance to make new score cards that were clean, clear and straight. I had made my set more than 20 years ago. It was time to update the score cards. Not only are my kids old enough to play, but they can begin to understand some mathematical aspects such as probability and statistical analysis, not to mention doing addition and multiplication without a calculator or fingers. 5) Envelope to store your Washable Yahtzee.
Note: Keep in mind that you will need a damp cloth or paper towel to wipe the score card before or after a game.

The Score Sheet
A) Enlarge a copy of a score sheet from your own game,
B) Search the internet for a downloadable score card or
C) Sit down and create your own card on the computer. (this took me about an hour, the Triple Yahtzee score card only took 20 mins because I simply made a copy of the Yahtzee score card and then made a few alterations)

Insert the Score Card Into the Transparent Folder
Add Dice, Pens and Envelope
1) Add 5 dice, they do not have to match. If you have kids then you are bound to have a few stray dice. If you do not have stray dice then buy new or used.

I am satisfied with the results. There are some websites that go into detail about Probability and Statistical analysis of Yahtzee. I will not, but to simply say anyone has the same 4.6% chance or 1 in 22 of rolling a Yahtzee in 3 throws of the dice or 1 turn. So you could expect to throw a Yahtzee after 22 rolls, but it is usually more because you may discard a pair to roll a small or large straight.
