I decided to make an original Xbox One, as I first got an original Xbox One when it first came out in 2014. SInce then I still have it and it still works amazing with newer software. Through this I have come to believe that the Xbox One is the greatest gaming console ever created thus another reason for me choosing this console for this project.

Supplies

I only used three things to create my detailed CAD drawing of an Xbox One. To begin I used a laptop with CAD installed as that's the software I would be using to create my detailed drawing and use to find dimensions on the internet. As well I would need to use both my Xbox One and a ruler to record any measurements that I was unaware of or couldn't find on the internet to then be used in CAD.

To begin I looked up the dimensions of the Xbox One on the internet and drew it in Cad. This was generally easy as there are lots of records for the dimensions of the actual Xbox. Once drawing the Xbox I begin to cut out the edges such as the one on the bottom of the front side, as well as cutting out the disc changer, which took up half of the front side of the Xbox. After this, I put some red paint on it and began onto my ports.

Taking Measurements and Adding Ports and Logo

Following drawing the Xbox, I would take measurements from my old Xbox One, for example, I had to measure the small cutout where the ports are located on the backside of the console. Next, I had to find all the measurements for the ports, theses would be the hardest part as it's hard to measure the small ports with a ruler. This meant that I would search the web to either locate measurements or I would attempt to sketch the port to the best of my ability by using the size of the other ports surrounding it. So for the ports such as the Kinect port and the Ethernet, I had to guess to the best of my ability and I believe that I succeeded at doing so. Following this, I would just have to extrude the port which was not that hard as I had pictures of the Xbox to help me understand how deep the ports would be. After my ports were done I just sketched the logo, extruded it, and then put some paint on it.
