As to the umbrella, cut and removed its canopy.
Canopy is a part of umbrella, which cover the whole ribs.

After removing canopy, we cut and separated it to a small unit.

DESIGN

This unit was used for designing wrappers in terms of size, and in addition we considered how the wrappers are placed.

TAPE THE WRAPPERS THAT ARE THE SAME COLOURS

After carefully cutting the glued areas of the snack packets to make one flat sheet, use sellotape to tape the ends of few sheets together to create one big sheet This should be big enough to cut out a segment of the umbrella.

CUT OUT THE GLUED WRAPPERS INTO SEGMENTS USING THE MODEL

Once the taping has finished, use pen and the model that you cut out at (5) to draw the outlines of the model onto the big sheet. Make sure to draw on the inside part of the sheet in order to make it look neat. Then cut out the segment. Repeat 7 and 8 and make as many segments as you like for your umbrella.

FIT THE SEGMENTS

After cutting all the segments needed, open the canopy removed umbrella and make two ribs about 60 degrees. Then put the segments on the ribs, simply fit the sides onto the ribs using tape.

FIX THE NEW CANOPY

When all segments are fit, carefully tape them up from subsurface untill there's no aperture in this new canopy, check it as well as you can because it's important for an umbrella to be waterproof.

And after all these steps you can get an umbrella.
