When I bake cookies for family and friends, I make them special by wrapping them in an old fashioned way. I use old buttons, brown paper, burlap sacks and greenery from my yard. Wrapping with this technique almost always brings about a nostalgic reflection of grandmas home-cooking to the receiver.

Wrap the gift box in a brown paper bag.
Cut a small strip of the burlap.
Turn under the raw edges.
Tape it to the box.
Please note: I am using another picture because I forgot to take a picture of this box.I did not wish to confuse you because in the beginning picture the burlap is in the center on the short side and not lengthwise.

It is always fun to wrap a gift using this method. I receive many compliments from my friends and neighbors when they receive the gift. They say it brings back many memories. This brings me much joy to know that my home-baked cookies have such an impact on those that I love and appreciate.
Thank you for stopping by and please do come again. You never know what I might dream up next.
Have a nostalgic day!
