This project converts a sock hanger for the Wrangler work socks into a usable hanger on a normal hanging rack. I bought these socks at Walmart and didn't want to just throw out that sock hanger plastic if I could still use it.

Supplies

FreeCAD

PLA Filament

3D Printer (in my case GEEETECH A10)

Change the Tolerance of the Hanger Slit for Your Printer Settings

spreadsheet_space_setting.png

Go to the FreeCAD file found here. Download it and edit it to your needs. If your tolerance on your printer is about 0.4mm for holes, then no need to edit. If not, then change the "space" variable to be the tolerance that you need for your printer.

Print the File

I used 0.1mm layer height and 10% infill with a gyroidal infill. Up to you for how rough you will be with the converter. If you'll be more rough, then I'd add more infill. 10% has been fine for me for now, though.

Glue Old Sock Hanger With the Converter

I used a glue gun for this.
