Have you ever had the desire to grow a moustache, but don't lack the Y chromosome? Have you ever wanted to change your moustache daily, according to your whims and desires? Well, I have the present for you!

Simply knit, these finger moustaches will not only keep your finger cozy, but provide some amusing photos and show off your personality.

I found it is very important to knit with bright colors for the background. The black really pops and if you use light colors for the moustache it looks a little strange.

So....

Cast-on 17 stitches onto your needles. Leave the tail at least 8 inches long.

Start Knitting!

In your background color, knit stockinette fo 9 rows (knit on Right Side, purl on Wrong Side).

Next up, choose your 'stache!

Using the charts available, knit the next 4 rows. I preferred to knit faire-isle style, but you could do intarsia...if you don't mind sewing in a lot of ends. I found that this project was a great way to practice the different methods of color work knitting using a chart.

Finish It Off!

Cut the black yarn, leaving a tail to sew in. With the background color, knit 9 more rows in stockinette stitch. Bind off using your preferred method.

Cut the tail.

Using the tapestry needle, sew the ends (except for one) in.

Then, take the remaining tail and sew the sides of the moustache together into a lovely cylinder.

Enjoy!
