Wooly Wrapped Bangles

Ingredients (per bangle):
- 11 inches craft wire, 16 gauge
- 24 inches craft wire, 24 gauge
- approx 3 grams of wool roving in desired color
- assorted seed beads (we used silver-coated 8/0 charlottes)

Tools:
- chain nose pliers
- wire cutters
- bench block
- chasing hammer

Bend each end of the 16 gauge wire back approximately 1/2 inch. Hook the two ends in together to create a bangle. Check fit on your hand.

Place the bangle on the bench block. Using the chasing hammer, lightly hammer the bangle to harden the metal and flatten the surface a bit.

Want to add beads to your design?
Feed the beads onto your 24 gauge wire as you wrap it around the bangle. Don't wrap too neatly, or add the beads too regularly. The bracelet should look a bit soft and nesty.

Place the center of the strip of roving over the joint on the bangle. Wrap the roving each direction from the joint. Place the middle of the length of 24 gauge wire in the center of the roving section and wrap one side outward, spacing the wire wraps irregularly. When you are within 4 inches of the end of the wire begin coiling the wire tightly around the roving and the bangle to create the end coil. Trim any remaining roving. Repeat to wrap other side of the bangle.
