Woodturning-Ice Cream Scoop

IMG_0691.JPG
I used spectraply wood for this project.  Spectraply is a really cool plywood because it has a bunch of layers of different colored woods.  So when you turn it you get a really cool effect.  I used the wood river ice cream scoop kit which you may purchase here:http://www.woodcraft.com/Product/2080178/37278/Stainless-Steel-Ice-Cream-Scoop-Kit.aspx

After sanding with 80, 150, 220, and 400 grit I finished with some mineral oil.  To assemble the kit together you simply place the tiny bushing/ring thing around the tendon at the top of your handle and you epoxy the scoop in.  Thank you for watching and please vote for me in the woodworking contest if voting is still open!
