Wooden Keychain Bottle Opener

In this Instructables I will show you how to make yourself a wooden keychain bottle opener.This way you will always be able to open your bottle easily because the wooden bottle opener is strapped to your key chain and Is ready to help.

Items needed

• wood plank
• old bottle opener

Tools needed

• power drill(the needed drill heads are shown in the picture )
• saw
• sand paper
• safety glasses

Mark a 5 cm by 1.5 cm rectangle and cut it out with a saw. Now place the old bottle opener(I got mine from a broken multi tool)on the piece of wood you have cut and mark the design on it.

Tip:A old bottle opener isn't essential but it will help you get the design right.

This step can be done in a hundred ways and no step by step instructions is needed but I will show you how I did it. It is very simple.I started by drilling a hole were the big curve was supposed to be.Then I used the pointy sander to slowly scrape of bits to form the wanted shape.I then used cylinder shaped sander to to make the curves smother.Now our wooden bottle opener is almost complete but as u can see it isn't the most beautiful thing in the world.So in the next step we will start sanding the whole thing .

Now the sanding. First,sand the curves inside the bottle opener and make them smooth.After you've done that ,Smoothen out the out side edges and Make them round . After you've done all of these do some sanding by hand to make sure the surface is super fine.Also drill a hole in the back of the bottle opener so it gets key chain compatible.

Tip:I also sanded of the artificial wood cover to make it nicer you can to that if yours has the cover too.

And now I present to you..............THE WOODEN KEYCHAIN BOTTLE OPENER.

Thats it ...your done with your bottle opener.Now you can open your drink bottles with style.
