This table is perfect for doing D.I.Y. Its 5 foot long and 58 centimeters wide so there is plenty of space for working. The table is designed for my own D.I.Y you could adjust the measurements to suit your needs. This is the first table I have ever built. I have entered the tables and desks competition please vote for me and I will continue to make woodwork projects.

Making the Table's Suface

I had 2 pieces of timber that were 10 feet long and 14 and a half cm wide. I marked 5 feet in on both of them and cut them. I screwed a piece of plywood that was 4 feet x 58cm into the back of the four timbers leaving half an inch gap on both sides. This piece of plywood held the four timbers together.

Making the Legs

I had four posts and I cut them all at 32 and a half inches. Only cut off the pointy side.

Attaching the Legs

You might need someone to help you hold them as you screw them in from the other side. Make sure you use long enough screws or the legs wont be sturdy.

Finishing Touches

You don't have to do any of the following steps but they make the table look better. I added a piece of plywood at each end to cover the screw this looks a lot neater (Don't add the plywood if you want to place pieces of timber on the table that will overlap the end of the table). I then sanded the whole table which made it a lot smoother. Another thing you could do to make the table more sturdy is add cross beams between the legs. Thanks for reading and don't forget to vote for me.
