Wooden Tie

I saw these wooden ties for sale and at the time i was in wood tech and thought to my self i could make that. i took it one step further and put wooden inlay stripes. here are the original                                                                                                                        http://www.amazon.com/Wood-Thumb-Recycled-Wooden-Large/dp/B005R2FAFQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1381544235&sr=8-1&keywords=wooden+tie

First i glued strips of light wood and dark wood together into a big rectangle. Then i rotated the rectangle so it was at an angle where the strips of wood were slanted. I then measured an angle i liked and used a yard stick to draw the tie then i cut it out. After this i cut the tie into pieces. I took a cloth and glued the pieces of tie onto it into the shape of the tie so it would be flexible.
