With a saw you need to cut the outlines of the wood, make sure to be careful. It is also better if you have an electric saw but a normal one will also work.
Sand the Wood
Make sure that you sand the wood, you could use sandpaper or a sanding machine. Sanding is a crucial step because you need the wood to feel smooth or else you will have splinters all over it. It also needs to get in good shape.
