Wooden Skee-ball Game

Supplies

MDF (1/4 inch)

Plywood (3 mm)

Wood Glue

3D printer

Laser cutter

Access DXF Files

Access the DXF files and import them into a laser software (we used rdworks). One of the files is to be cut in plywood (3 mm) and the other is to be cut in MDF (¼ inch), they are labeled accordingly. The DXF files do not have text on them, so you will be able to add whatever you want for point values, labels, decals, etc.

Access STL Files

Access the STL files for the ramp and the guard (labeled accordingly) to be 3D-Printed.

Assembly

After finishing the cuts and prints, assemble with wood glue by interlocking the wood tabs and their respective holes. You may need to use the CAD model for reference as some of the planks look similar.

Getting a Ball

Find some sort of ball that you can use to play. We used marbles and also some wooden balls we found lying around, so it’s really up to you. It wasn’t designed with a specific ball in mind, although you want to make sure that the ball you use isn’t bigger than the smallest hole. You may also want to add some hooks (as seen in the CAD model) so that a rubber band could be used to shoot the ball down the ramp rather than just rolling it.
