Wooden Guitar Pedal
Well nothing fancy...
Case was made with makercase.com using dimensions of a classical hamond alu casing.
width=95, height=35, depth=120 (all in mm)
To get it more stable - someone may step a foot on it - I actually made a second inner box which is 2x material thickness smaller, so it has 2 layers of plywood, which feels robust enough. Attached here is this double wall case for 4mm plywood.
I drilled all the holes later, which is a bit cumbersome with these 8mm thick walls. Most components are not made for this thickness, so the connectors needed a sink, the potentiometers needed a bit of milling on the inner side. So better add the cutouts with the laser.
LaserCut it @ makerspace Darmstadt or whatever your favorite local makerspace is (search) . Or find a commercial service.
Glued together with some wood glue, leave the bottom open for the electronics.
Sand it a bit, I prefer smooth edges and only a little laser burn effect... Then oil or varnish it.
DIY Kits for guitar effects can be found all over the internet, I went to trusty musikding.de and build the pretty simple 308 distortion on a strip board, just as an example.
