Wooden Birdcage Ladder
Hey a few years back our pet bird ate through her wooden ladder and i figured it was time to give her a replacement one for her to chew and climb on.
Materials
3 foot 3/4 diameter dowel
52 inch long 1 by 1/2 inch board
Saw and Drill
3/4 inch spade
Rubber mallet (not absolutely necessary)
Measurements
The two boards are cut 26 inches long each and the dowel can be divided into 8 pieces each 4.25 inches long (make sure to account for kerf!!!)
Holes
The holes need to be in the middle of the board which is .75 from the edge. All the holes are 3 inches center to center except for the first and last which is 2.5 inches from the edge.
Putting It Together
Once the holes are all drilled all the way through you just have to put the dowels in the hole (the picture shows all of them in but staggering them and putting them on each side worked better) the mallet can come in handy here if you have some trouble.
Give It to Your Bird!
Real simple project that your bird or pet will love for a long time
