Wood Plane Decoration

Today i'm gonna show you how to make a wooden plane. It's not hard to make and it will look great on the shelf

You don't need a lot of supplies, you'll only need:

-Plywood

-Block of wood

-Toothpicks

-1 small nail

For tools you'll need:

-Band saw

-Sandpaper

-Super glue

First, I drew a plan on paper, that I'll cut out and stick it on the wood to cut it out. For the body i drew it form 2 angles, so I can cut it from two sides.

Here I just traced the desing on with a pencil and cut it out. For the wings I used plywood that's about 0,5 thick. After i have cut the main body twice from 2 sides I sanded it first with a high grit sandpaper to put it in a nice shape. I suggest to look at some refrence pictures on theinternet of the plane you want to make to sand it in to the right shape. After that I used a fine sand paper to smooth it out. You coud also oil the wood if you wanted but I didn't.

After sanding the wood you will glue it together. I used super glue butt you can use wood glue or a hot glue gun if you wanted. After that I cut some toothpicks and put them under the wings so they look like support

At the end I drilled a smoll hole in the front of the plane. than i put a nail in the hole and a little stick as a propeler. The hole on the propeler with the nail is a bit bigger so than the nail so it can spin as a small touch, and then you are done :)
