in this part in instructable,we are making an easy circuit to change width of the pulse generated by the Timer 555 to control device feed with 12V DC example motor, led gbr, lamp ... , and to change the width pulse we use 100K potentiometer. we need as a component:

  1. 555 Timer Chip package DIP-8
  2. two capacitor 100nF
  3. 3 mm Led Red for power
  4. resistor 510 Ohms 1/4 watt 1% Metal
  5. resistor 10 Kil Ohms 1/4 watt 1% Metal
  6. electrolytic capacitor 100µF 16V
  7. three Diode 1N4007
  8. Potentiometer 100K Ohm Variable Resistors Single Turn Rotary
  9. TIP122 transistor 5A 100V, TO-220
  10. Heat-sink Radiator Cooling Aluminum, Plastic Electrical Insulator TO-220, mounting screw
  11. DC Socket Connector Female (12V / 9V socket)
  12. 12 24V male female cable connector rgb led strip
  13. i use some peace of wire to connect and link them, also i solder the pins with soldering iron and solder core wire.

one note: it's not need to use the same type of the component, like using same resistor 1/4 w or either, you can use SMD make look small and good for low motors , use dot board or bread board for began and test it. i made that project just to recycle my rubbish, and make something new using wood and same time artistic.

Draw Shematic

find a peace of small plank of wood draw your circuit on it, and make holes if you use THT component or you can draw it in software and do pcb your self

Check Links With Multimeter

take and solder the component in there right place and check the connecting with multimiter

Turn on by Feeding 12V and Connect DC Motor

power on your circuit and apply it to a load

video PWM DC, show me run this with 9V
