Wooden Buck Kit and Furniture (Autoline Series)

IMGP1996.JPG

I would introduce six wood buck models (Lancia Stratos - 1973, Porsche 911 Carrera 2 - 1995, Ferrari 250 TR - 1957, Porsche 550 spyder - 1955, Lamborghini Countach 25th - 1989, Mercedes 300SL "gullwing" 1955, Mercedes Sauber GR.C, Ferrari 250 GTO - 1962 and nextly Ferrari Enzo) made by a process start from a 3D design, laser cut and assembly; we take as an example for assembly a Porsche 911 Carrera 2 (1995 series).

History : This wooden kit scale reproduces the so-called "wood buck" or "template" with which to develop the necessary production equipment that car manufacturers used to make the body.

When still had no use of computers to design skilled craftsmen of the highest level made these wood buck; this model is scaled measure accurately the car as it was originally a real three-dimensional drawing.

Even today, some restorers of classic car make use of the template to obtain the parts of the body that can be made in various materials: aluminum, fiberglass, steel etc.

The process : All the models derived from a 3D drawing from which we obtain the sections reproduced in 2D for laser cut.

The kit includes parts of poplar plywood 3mm thick for the 1:18 scale and 4mm thick for the 1:12 scale, or other scales you want, each piece is cut by laser; the use of the glue for the assembly is required only for some parts while the rest is optional because the parts are fit with each other, this is clearly described in the instructions sheet provided in the box.

You can be realized different scale : 1/18, 1/12, 1/8, 1/4, 1/2, 1/1

I can also supply the drawing wood buck model only so you can cut and assemble yourself with the help of enclosed instruction sheet.

On request is possible to realize also a new wooden buck model drawing and kit.

Also available the furniture series dedicated to the car (AUTOLINE SERIES) see below
