Witcher
Have you heard the story of the Witcher who has returned to our land after a long time? In fact, he's already looking out for all of us on your bookshelf!
The Witcher is a dicorporation to any place in your home! The Witcher is also characterized by his magical staff that emits a glow! The mysterious history of this character is unknown, and while I will tell you how you can create your own Witcher, you can make up a story for him and write in the comments! Welcome to a workshop on how to create a Witcher.
Supplies
In this mystery project, we will need the following materials:
Basic materials
- Foam figures (ball, cone, two small cylinders)
- Any wooden stick (the staff of the future witcher)
- Rope (preferably thick)
- Beige threads
- Fluffy Wire (dark colors)
- Burlap Roll
- Black felt
- Black fleece
- black tulle
- Glue Gun
- Scissors
- Black paint
- Light brown paint
Decorations
- Round log (stand)
- Small pumpkins(artificial)
- Carnation (artificial)
- Autumn leaves (artificial)
- Boxes (1-2)
If you're wondering where you can get all these supplies, I used to buy them at Hobby Lobby and similar stores.
Material Painting
Before you start creating a Witcher figure, you need to color the individual figures that make up the Witcher so that they do not show through the character's clothes. To do this, you should use dark colors, such as black and brown.
Once you have painted the figures, you need to leave them to dry so that we can continue using them!
(Hint: the photo shows a small figure of the future bent arm that can be created using a cylinder and soft wire)
Creating Details
While our figures are drying, we need to make 2 arms and a spider to accompany the Witcher. For this we will use black fluffy wire and by twisting it we will make 2 not too long arms and 1 spider.
Creating the Foundation of the Witcher
When our figures are dry, let's start gluing the base for the Witcher. We take a painted cone and with the help of a glue gun glue the cone to the corner of our wooden stand (warning - the stand can be any for the figure, the main thing is that it should be weighty enough). After taking the drawn 2 hands and also glue on both sides on the Witcher.
Making Clothes
1.To make a unique robe for the Witcher, first make the first part of the garment:
- Wrap a 55 cm by 30 cm burlap around the entire cone and tie it at the waist with a strong rope. Then measure 12 centimeters from the top of the cone, fold the burlap 12 centimeters down and spread it at the waist to create volume.
2.Now it's time to sew the shirt on the figure, for this purpose the data for taking measurements are prepared:
Reminder: after cutting out the desired burlap size, you MUST fold the burlap in half and ONLY then cut out the shirt itself.
The size of the burlap is 80 by 46 cm
Length at throat height - 43 cm
Sleeves (length) - 14 cm
Sleeves (width) - 9cm
Sides - 11 cm
Bottom - 22 cm
- Now when there is a cut out, at the level of the throat in the middle make a neck in the shape of a small triangle to put on the figure. Then we sew the sleeves and sides of the shirt on both sides.
- Then we cut the shirt exactly in the middle to slightly tighten the shirt on the figure of the Witcher and sew it back on.
3.Having finished with the shirt, the final touch will be a belt made of any thick rope to give our Witcher more naturalness (2-3 coils of rope at the waist will be enough).
Making Hood
To create a half-saddle from the Witcher's clothing, we will again use burlap and black fleece fabric.
The size of the burlap - 37 by 46 cm
The size of the black fleece - 30 by 19 cm
- Attach the black fleece fabric to the burlap on top and sew it with a thread.
- Then put the future hood on the figure's head and, taking the small ends of the hood from the side of the black fleece, sew them to the Witcher's chest.
- Fold the back of the hood in small folds as you like, and then carefully sew the folds to the back of the figure.
Decorations
Now for the easy part! Let's take our spider and two arms, which we made from soft wire, and attach them to the Witcher. The spider can be attached with a glue gun, and the arms can be carefully inserted into the foam bases of our arms.
Then we attach a painted stick to the hands of our Witcher, which will be part of the lantern.
And the most fun part is coming up with decorations at the bottom next to the Witcher illustrating the situation in autumn using artificial leaves, pumpkins, etc.
Making a Lantern
The last part of our figure is a lantern that will light the way for the Witcher in his travels. To make the lantern we need the following materials:
round box (small)
Black felt
Soft wire
Black fatin
Flashlight (one)
- We take the box and glue the fatin all around the perimeter of the box.
- Then use black felt to hide the outer part of the fatin and glue the felt to the box.
- Then cut out a circle from the same felt to cover the top of the box and glue it on.
- Decorate the box with soft wire from the top and inside we attach a small flashlight that can be turned on and off.
Congratulations, you're all set!
