Wirelessly Accessible Pi in 5 Minutes

IMG_4868.JPG

Hi everyone! Here's how to make a raspberry Pi wirelessly accessible from a phone or tablet
Please note that my estimate of 5 minutes is for a person with some computer knowledge, and certainly can take longer.
Enough of that stuff, let's get to it!

Update Your Pi to Latest Raspian & Install Realvnc on Your Device.

Please run the following in the terminal.
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
sudo apt-get install -y rpi-chromium-mods
sudo apt-get install -y python-sense-emu python3-sense-emu
sudo apt-get install -y python-sense-emu-doc realvnc-vnc-viewer

While you are waiting, download the free RealVNC app on the App Store or equivalents.
When your Pi is done updating, open the RealVNC program and find your IP address. It should be under get started on the right (ie: 123.456.7.89)
On your phone, open the RealVNC app and create a new connection. Enter your pi's IP, and name it whatever you want.

Create a New Connection and Test It

On your phone, open the RealVNC app and create a new connection. Enter your pi's IP, and name it whatever you want.
Open the connection. It should bring you to your Pi's desktop.
