'Wire Swirls' Bracelet
This instructable is for an 8" bracelet made out of 18 & 26 gauge wire. (If you'd like you can use 16 ga wire for the main frame of the bracelet.)
Supplies
Tools:
Tweezer nose pliers (I suggest Xuron)
Small & large wire cutters - (if you use 16 ga wire for the main frame of the bracelet you will need the large size cutters.)
Round nose pliers
Nylon jaw pliers
Supplies:
18 & 26 ga silver wire
One 15 mm top drilled side to side flat briolette crystal bead
One 4 mm silver bead
Two 3.2 mm silver beads
Cut 17" of 18 ga wire & gently bend it in half for the main frame of the bracelet as per the photo & then make a loop & hook. Use 26 ga to wrap & secure the hook & loop. Next you will need to find center & mark it on the wire. (Cut 8.5" of 16 ga if you're going to use that size wire for the main frame of the bracelet & mark center & you will only use a single wire instead of doubling it like the 18 ga. Make a clasp/loop of your choice for the bracelet.)
Next you will gently bend a 'V' shape @ the center of the main frame wire as shown in the photo. Now you will cut 2 pieces of 18 ga wire in 10" & 12" & place them as in the photo w/ the 12" piece of wire closest to the crystal bead. Next you will cut 3' of the 26 ga wire & weave in a 3/2 pattern w/ 15 of the '2' weaves to fit around the crystal bead. Check to make sure the bead fits well & will be seated slightly on the wire so that it's secure & won't go through the woven area. Leave the 26 ga wire attached b/c you will be securing various sections of the 18 ga wire onto the main frame. Try to keep everything centered as much as possible & adjust as needed.
Attach the crystal bead to the frame using the 26 ga wire. Next you will gently curl the wire closest to the bead into 2 matching swirls on both sides of the bead as shown in the photo & then secure them to the frame w/ 26 ga wire. Curl the ends of that wire as seen. With the second wire curl & loop it around the frame trying to match each side as much as possible. Secure everything as needed w/ 26 ga wire. The very last step is to add the 3 beads to the bottom area of the bracelet below the bead w/ 26 ga wire & that's it. Congratulations! You're all finished w/ your bracelet!
