Wire Rings
I made wire rings because when I am older I want to do something with making jewelry.
Supplies
For making wire rings you will need wire, beads, a ring mandrel, some scissors, and some pliers
Right Amount of Wire
When making a ring you shouldn't underestimate how much wire you should use. I use about a foot and a half of wire for this ring.
Adding the Bead and on the Mandrel
Add whatever bead to the wire and put it in the center of it. Then when you put it on the ring mandrel you put the bead on the size that you want to make and rap the right part of the wire up and the left down. So that the right is on the right again and the left is on the left.
Wrapping Around the Bead
Next you want to pull tight on the ends of the wire and squish it together, but making sure that it is still in the right size. Now we are going to start wrapping the bead with the ends of the wire. I start with the right wire and go clockwise until i get to the left wire. Then I wrap the left until it gets back to the left side. Then I finish the right wire back to the right side.
Wrap Around the Excess
Next you want to pull tight on the ends of the wire and squish it together, but making sure that it is still in the right size. Now we are going to start wrapping the bead with the ends of the wire. I start with the right wire and go clockwise until i get to the left wire. Then I wrap the left until it gets back to the left side. Then I finish the right wire back to the right side.
Finishing Wrapping and Finishing
I usually do about four rounds of wrapping the wire. When you are finished wrapping cut with your scissors as closely to the ring. Then using your pliers clamp down on the ends so then they don't prickle at you when you wear the ring.
Your Done
You have finished making a ring. Enjoy :)
