Winnie the Pooh Coat Hanger

A friend of mine asked me to make a Winnie the Pooh coat rack for his daughter. At first I thought that I will cut a simple shape and paint it but then I found my son’s Winnie the Pooh magazine.

Inside the magazine there was a poster.

I decided to use the poster as a template for the coat rack.
I cut out the characters
I cut out the characters

and aligned them on a MDF board.

Then I glued them to the board with a standard wood glue and left it to dry for the night.

For easier cutting I separated each character.

This is the result of the final cutting.

And the leftovers.

I needed to to make an entry hole for the hook but doing this with a drill press was a bit difficult. So I mounted the cut outs inside a cloth protected small vise.

And drilled the entry hole.

To drill the hole I used a Proxxon IB\E held in hand.

The final result.
